karni Soup

Ingredients: • 1 cup mixed lentils, potatoes and carrot • ½ cup red beans • 500 g Swiss chard • 100 g fresh coriander • 1 cup pomegranate • 1 spoon flour • 2 garlic cloves • 1 cup of chopped ginger • 1 onion • 2 tbs. vegetable Oil • ½ cup lemon juice • Salt and cumin • 6 cups water

Directions: Peel the onion and garlic and chop it. In the cooking pan, put the vegetable oil and fry the chopped onions and garlic until it is golden brown. Add cooked red beans, and add 5 cups of water. Dilute the flour in 1 cup of water and add it to the mixture. Add Swiss chard, small cubes of potatoes, ginger, carrot, fresh coriander, salt and cumin and cook all together stirring occasionally. Add lemon juice and cook for further 5 minutes. Remove from heat, add the pomegranate and serve hot.
