APPLE STUFFED WITH NUTS AND FISHNE SAUCE
Ingredients: • 4 red apples • Water • 1 cup sugar • 3 tbsp lemon juice • 2 cups of walnuts, pine nuts and almonds • ½ cup raisin • 2 tbsp blossom water • 2 tbsp rose water • 3 tbsp cinnamon • 1 cup cherry sauce • Mint for decoration
Directions: Cut a cap out of the top of the apples and scoop out the seeds. Put water in a cooking pan. Add the apples, half a cup of sugar and the lemon juice and boil the apples for 5 to 8 minutes. Remove from water and drain. To prepare the stuffing, mix the assorted nuts with the raisins and fry them in a frying pan with butter until brown. Add the cinnamon, the rest of the sugar, blossom water and rose water. Stuff the apples and put them in a baking tray and bake in a pre-heated oven for 5 minutes. On the serving plate, put the cherry sauce, add the stuffed apples. Decorate with mint and walnut and serve.
